AH-Software had a live stream this morning (February 25, 2015) discussing details with YAMAHA about Yuzuki Yukari's V4 update, VOCALOID4, and future VOCALOID5 details.

Click here to view the recorded stream for yourself!->…

Details from this live stream are as follows:
:bulletblue: Yuzuki Yukari V4 comes with 3 voice libararies (Jun, Onn, and Lin) and will be packaged in a 3-in-one package and the three libraries will also be available separately. Yuzuki Yukari V4 will also be available as a V4 Starter Package--comes the V4 editor. Yuzuki Yukari V4 will be available March 18, 2015!

:bulletblue: Discussion of the new Oculus Rift promotional event for Yuzuki Yukari, a new skiing collaboration promotional event for Tohoku Zunko, and new merchandise of Yuzuki Yukari in general. (Phone cases, Backpacks, Straps, and etc.)

:bulletblue: The founder of the VOCALOID project, Hideki Kenmochi, has retired from working on VOCALOID development, being replaced with a new head president Katsumi Ishikawa. Mr. Ishikawa promises new languages, more human sounding VOCALOID's, and more.

:bulletblue: Yamaha has released a V2 VOCALOID import tool for the V4 editor. You can directly process the V2 voice banks into V4, there is no longer the need to import V2 voice banks to V3 in order to import them to V4.

:bulletblue: CYBER DIVA, who had already been available to the Japanese market in December, will be available to be purchased in the United States in early March of this year.

Future Goals For VOCALOID5 Engine

:bulletblue: More languages are being planned. Currently French, Portuguese, and Italian are being considered.
:bulletblue: Aims to sound more human.  "ultimately toward AI"
:bulletblue: Better note inputs, to make ways of using the editor more fun.
:bulletblue: Better suitable for more genres of music.
:bulletblue: More innovative than the current V4 engine.

Please note: that these are just future goals, and may be subject to change.

The next AH-Software live stream will take place on March 18, 2015 9:00 AM, Japan time.

:bulletblue: Please avoid doing anything you're not allowed to do according to deviantART rules.

Deviation Rules:
:bulletblue: Please make sure you follow the deviantART Submission Policy that you agreed on upon joining the site.
:bulletblue: You must be a member of the group to be able to submit deviations.
:bulletblue: All pairings are allowed, but keep it PG-13 as there are some members who are younger here.
:bulletblue: The deviation must be yours or you must have gotten permission to use it; stealing is not tolerated. This also includes using someone else's art for the cover of a fanfiction - WE WILL NOT ALLOW THAT.
:bulletblue: The deviation has to be primarily Vocaloid-related, cross-overs are allowed but must be submitted to the Other Fanstuff folder.
:bulletblue: Submission Limit: 2 deviations per month per folder.
:bulletblue: We do not permit any of the following: sketches; works in progress; linearts; screenshots of wallpapers; forum signatures or avatars made with images that you don't own, traced, copied or eyeballed deviations.
:bulletblue: Variations/Edits of your own deviations are not allowed.
:bulletblue: You may not upload cosplay photos that have very little difference.
:bulletblue: Cosplayers must NOT submit "wig tests" or cosplay items.
:bulletblue: Cosplayers must also not submit any deviations that do not have a sense of effort put into, as judged by our administrators.
:bulletblue: Photography of figurines with no artistic value whatsoever are NOT allowed
:bulletblue: WE NO LONGER ACCEPT BLACK ROCK SHOOTER. BRS is not Vocaloid - we will now decline all BRS-related submissions.
:bulletblue: Submit memes and Flash games to the "Other fanstuff" folder
:bulletblue: Deviations are not guaranteed to be accepted, nor is it necessary to submit it in the first place. We will have little quality control over works submitted, and if deemed not good enough by our admins, they may not be accepted.

Another reminder: We no longer accept MMD artwork. There are other groups for them. Do not submit them here.

Please make yourself aware of the folders before you submit your deviation.

The Reporting System.
Basically, you will have 3 chances of breaking the rules before you are banned. These will be strikes. If you get a strike, you will get a message saying the following:

Dear :dev username:

Your submission has been declined because it goes against the Vocaloid-fanclub Rules. Please also read about our Reporting System. You have "x" number of strikes out of 3 before you can be banned.

Please make sure that you think before you submit. We don't want to ban any members because this is a club where you have fun!

Here are the thing you can and cannot be striked for:

Things you can be striked for:
~coloring FFA lineart
~Stealing art
~Editing another artist's work (color overs, etc.)
~Using bases
~Submitting non-Vocaloid work
~Mature content (over PG-13)
~Screenshots of wallpapers/desktops/PVs/etc
~Submitting an already declined deviation
~WIP (unfinished pictures, lineart, etc.)
~Being rude to administrators or other club members
~Spamming our group page

Thing you don't get striked for:
~Wrong folder submission
~Wig tests
~Low quality photos

*So sketches are a bit on the gray area. We will accept sketches, but only if they are well done sketches, with shading, good composition, neat, and photographed/scanned well. Simple or rough sketches done in a few minutes will not be accepted and will be striked if submitted.

Even though there are things you don't get striked for, please don't submit it anyway. It will make it easier for the admins and will allow you to have more submissions per month.

And about submitting into the wrong folder - we get several incorrect folder submissions. When you submit a picture into Vocaloid-fanclub, don't immediately click "Submit". This will submit it automatically into the Leon folder and, chances are, your submission will be declined before you can resubmit it. Please take a few seconds to select the correct folder and you won't have to worry about the submission limits.

Another reminder: We no longer accept MMD artwork. There are other groups for them. Do not submit them here.

Due to change of circunstances and lack of active staff, we reserve the right to refuse giving explanation of why the submissions were declined. We have mainly two reasons: We have more than 30.000 members and it's impossible to have time to answer all the questions properly, and we would like to preserve our mental health from fights and discussions, since this subject leads to stress most of the times, to both sides.
Please read the rules again and you probably will find the reason your art was declined in one of the items.

Let us know about...
:bulletblue: Shout-outs
:bulletblue: Vocaloid-related contests
:bulletblue: Any other information about Vocaloids that we can spread the word!

Comment on our front page and show us your appreciation; we'd love it!

Please donate to us for Vocaloid-fanclub!

We want to help our members to have a great experience of our group, unfortunately some things will rely on the help of points. Remember that all admins in the group are doing this for your sake, and get nothing but your satisfaction in return.

So please, donate anything you can to show your appreciation, to show you care, and to show you love Vocaloids.

Want to help but have no points? Copy and paste this code to your ID, Custom Modules, or Journal!

hey there, so i sent you a comment regarding the declined deviation. i know the administrators are busy, and i can accept that.

although, here is just a small tip, it might be better to explain why the deviation was declined right after it was declined, so people wouldn't have to wonder what could be the reason, and they have to wait for days.

that's all! i apologize if i sound rude. also, i think you need a fukase folder (if there wasn't one already)

have a good day.

Hello, there, dear!

I'm so ery sorry you had to wait so long for an answer to your question. We do hope you understand, though, that not only out admins are busy, but the amount of submissions we get every day is quite big for us to give an inidividual answer every time a deviation is declined. We do, however, have a journal just for rules and regulations linked on the group's front page, where the users can verify the possible reasons for not having a piece of art accepted: Rules and Regulations. If even so the person still has doubts about the reason, they're more than welcome to come and ask us directly.

Have a nice day! <3

I was wondwring, do you accept kaguerou stuff here???
Yukiko-Kun Featured By Owner Mar 2, 2016  Professional General Artist
We still need to discuss about it, dear. <3 We've never talked about KagePro, so we'll need to talk among the admins to get an answer. After we do, it'll be included in the rules. Thanks for bringing it up!

I guess I submitted to the wrong folder and my art got declined, but I'm not entirely sure where to submit....

Try to submit this btw tsubasathenightfury.deviantart…
Yukiko-Kun Featured By Owner Feb 22, 2016  Professional General Artist
Dear, this drawing can be barely recognized as Kaito. We do not accept another versions of the characters unless we can tell them apart or if they're from a determined PV. Hence we can accept Gumi with the television as a head because she's shown that way in the Echo PV, but we do not accept self altered versions of it, hence any major modifications on the characters' bodies that makes them closer to your own OC than to Vocaloid fanart.

Is this group still active?
I submitted a picture on January 3rd, and still has not been accepted.
Kurama-chan Featured By Owner Feb 2, 2016  Hobbyist Digital Artist
We need a certain number of votes to have the submission accepted, and unfortunately the administrators aren't all active to vote on them =(
Yukiko-Kun Featured By Owner Feb 1, 2016  Professional General Artist
Would you please link us to the submission process, dear? <3
Candy-Meow Featured By Owner Feb 1, 2016  Hobbyist General Artist
Actually don't worry about it.  I grew to dislike the picture I was trying to submit  ^^;
